A big thank you to all of you who joined us at the Eco Market and Summer Fête at Loretto Gallery last weekend. Whether you were visiting or setting up your stall, it was GREAT to see you, and I hope you took away some new ideas and were inspired by ReMade. We’ll be back at the gallery in mid-November, when we’ll all be thinking about  … Christmas! Since the market, we’ve had to find a new home for Frugal Cool HQ, and today, we’re moving temporarily into a little shop in Musselburgh. Welcome again to ReMade, our green Monday update, offering eco inspirations for a heavenly green summer. Well, it’s finally here. Frugal Cool’s Eco Market opens this Friday (10.30am, Loretto Gallery Musselburgh). And I’m quietly confident that you’ll be impressed. Local designers Julia Laing, Joanna Barry, Lynn Wilkins and Brigid McCarthy will give us a glimpse of their creative talent, everything is lovingly made by hand. Quality, talent, skill, sincerity and commitment to sustainable craft. It’s inspirational. Green Gift Company, Yho! Yho! and Ethic Girls have risen to the Fairtrade challenge, finding contemporary products which are relevant to our local market. Remade fashion, homewares, jewellery, accessories and kids’ tees. Welcome again to ReMade, our green Monday update, offering eco inspirations for a heavenly green summer. This week, something pretty special was unveiled in East Lothian. The Prestonpans Tapestry, inspired by Bayeaux and depicting the story of the last Jacobite victory at the Battle of Prestonpans, is finally finished. I’d like to say a BIG congratulations to my friends from the Craft Clinic and Betsy B who spent hundreds of hours stitching panels for the longest tapestry in the world. It’s an amazing community achievement and I’m really looking forward to seeing it – all 104m – when it returns home in September. Scotland’s Housing Expo opened this weekend in Inverness.
